Is there a Wrapped for Apple Music and YouTube Music?

Not Wrapped itself, but both services have their own year-end recap. Here is how they compare.

By ListenalityUpdated

Apple Music has Replay and YouTube Music has Recap, their built-in equivalents to Spotify Wrapped. Replay offers monthly and yearly listening highlights; YouTube Music offers seasonal and year-end recaps. Year-end release dates vary by year, and Spotify Wrapped only covers Spotify listening.

We make Listenality, which this guide mentions. Everything said here about Apple, Google and Spotify comes from their own pages or the reporting listed under Sources.

The short version

Wrapped is Spotify's feature and reads Spotify's data. Spotify says Wrapped covers your listening from January until mid November, and the 2025 edition launched on 3 December 2025. If you listen on Apple Music or YouTube Music, you already have a built-in equivalent, and neither needs a third-party app.

Apple Music: Replay

Replay is the closest thing to Wrapped on Apple Music, and it now runs all year rather than only in December. Apple's support page says it shows your top songs, artists, albums, genres, playlists and stations, monthly insights once you qualify, milestones, and whether you are among the top listeners of a favourite artist. The Replay playlist of your 100 most-played songs updates weekly.

The year-end edition for 2025 arrived on 2 December 2025, native in the Music app from iOS 26 and on the web at replay.music.apple.com. It added Discovery, Loyalty and Comebacks, and a highlight reel for sharing. You need an active Apple Music subscription and Use Listening History turned on. More detail in Apple Music Replay: what it shows and what it misses.

YouTube Music: Recap

YouTube Music's Recap lives under your profile photo, then Your Recap, in either the YouTube Music app or the YouTube app. Google's help page says it includes personalised playlists and stats covering your top songs, artists and podcasts, a calendar of the days you played your top artist, and a musical passport showing how many countries your artists come from. The 2025 edition started rolling out on 1 December 2025 and added questions you can ask about your listening, powered by Gemini.

Recap has two rules that catch people out:

  • Minimum listening. At least 10 hours of music from 1 January to 15 November for the year-end Recap, or 4 hours per season for a seasonal one.
  • Watch history. If it is paused for part of the year, that part is left out. Auto-delete of activity older than three months also disqualifies you.

What none of the built-in recaps do

  • Cross services. Each recap reads only its own platform. If you split listening between Apple Music and YouTube Music, no built-in recap sees the whole picture.
  • Explain the list. They rank favourites and count time. They do not tell you what your library says about your taste.
  • Show the plays behind a claim. You get the result, not the songs and dates that produced it.
  • Run weekly. Apple goes as fine as monthly, YouTube as fine as seasonal.

A year-end recap from your whole history

Listenality makes a year-end recap in early December as part of Listenality Plus (about $2.92/month, billed $34.99 yearly, or $4.99 month to month in the US), and weekly and monthly recaps during the year. Every claim shows the songs behind it.

  • Apple Music on iPhone: it reads your Apple Music library with available add dates, then builds a weekly recap every Friday and a monthly recap on the 1st from the recent plays Apple shares. Listenality also uses device play counts for saved tracks. Coverage and timestamp precision depend on the source. For older years, import Apple's privacy export (here is how).
  • YouTube Music on iPhone and Android: it reads your liked songs and YouTube Music playlist tracks with available add dates. Import Google Takeout for older plays (how to download it). On iPhone, each new monthly recap needs a fresh Takeout import, and there is no weekly recap. On Android, enabled play tracking supplies new plays for weekly recaps on Fridays, monthly recaps on the 1st and a year-end recap in December. Tracking coverage depends on permissions and background access.

Listenality is available on iPhone and Android. The free trial needs no card and has no automatic billing, and everything is open except the year-end recap. Apple Music is supported on iPhone; YouTube Music is supported on both phones. Spotify is not publicly supported.

Questions

Can I get Spotify Wrapped for Apple Music?

No. Wrapped only reads your Spotify listening. Apple Music's equivalent is Replay, in the Music app's Home tab and at replay.music.apple.com.

When does Apple Music Replay come out?

Apple Music Replay offers insights during the year once you qualify, plus a fuller year-end edition. The 2025 year-end edition arrived on December 2, 2025. That historical date is not a confirmed release date for 2026.

When does YouTube Music Recap come out?

YouTube Music offers seasonal recaps and a year-end Recap. The 2025 year-end edition began rolling out on December 1, 2025. Check Google for the current rollout; availability and eligibility can differ by account.

Why don't I have a YouTube Music Recap?

Google requires at least 10 hours of music listening from 1 January to 15 November, watch history turned on for that period, and no auto-delete of activity older than three months.

Is there one recap that covers Apple Music and YouTube Music together?

No built-in one does. Each service's recap reads only its own listening. A third-party app has to read both histories separately.

Listenality supports Apple Music and YouTube Music on iPhone, and YouTube Music on Android.
